The endorsement, made via Truth Social on November 3, positioned Cuomo as the pragmatic choice over progressive rival Zohran Mamdani. Trump framed the election as a binary decision, warning that federal funding for New York City could dry up under a Mamdani administration.

The endorsement sets up a dramatic political showdown, with Mamdani remaining the statistical favorite according to decentralized prediction markets.
